Experimental animation experiments

ive spent the afternoon fiddling with bits of plastercine and card and atatching them to my bike wheel, spinning it and watching it back through the display on my camera. heres my best one so far, i think this could be a really nice way of animating.

Experimental animaimation

i started having a think about my experimental animation projects today.
i saw jim lefevre talk at bradford last term and i really lked all his aimations i was thinking prehaps i could use his for inspiration. here he uses a record player to create a zoeotrope that syncs to the fps of the camera.


ive been trying something similar with a bicycle wheel just experimenting with what i can do. my camera shoots at 10 fps and im spining the wheel by hand as i watch the display to try and get the right speed.

i want to make an animated walk cycle with replacement models and make loads of small models, ive done some sketches of the character i might do.

first time on flash!

this was my first animation processing lecture and my first time to use flash, it was quite easy to pick up. all the adobe products seem to be quite similar which is making life alot simpler. so here is my fist flash animation using both frame by frame and keyframe animation!
