new animatic, starting to work in toonboom

This morning ive made the last few changes to the animatic before w import the sound, i changes a bit of timing so were now under 90 sec and i have slowed the pacing down at the start. i also changes the direction of the water at the end as it came from the wrong direction.

I also have been building out puppet in toonboom and following some tutorials on how to rig in the network view, at the moment i have a hiarachi and fixed pivots but nothing is on any kind of peg yet, i got a bit confused at that stage

Animatic

we had an animatic review at the end of last week, so today i have gone through the animatic and made changes to it that we had discussed, i have also taken of my sound and left it silent as sophie is working of a better sound track.

toon boom puppet

We had a session on building a puppet in toon boom and how to import one from photoshop.

sophie had built this puppet inh photoshop and i have imported him into toon boom and built the hiarachi so he works as a puppet, below are a few animation test in toon boom just to make sure it is workinhg, at the moment its not 100 percent there. not all the elements are on the right layers, but im getting the hang of TB.

Animatic for Phone animation.

Today I finished all the visuals for the animatic for our animation about a phone call for the Yes/No breif. I am not very good at working with sound but I have roughly cut in sound effects aswell.

Ive been teaching myself a bit more flash this morning, trying to learn how to animate cut out puppets. Ive been trying the bone tool which has worked well for this simple cut out reindeer puppet.

Im going to try the same thing in Toon boom this week

Today i have to pitch my animation 'Jail house Jazz' to the rest of the class, out tutors and a visiting animation producer.these are the slides I am using for the pitch.

Jazz Painting

I've been working on the acrylic painting, to try and show the emphasis on jazz music i want my animation to have, and whilst this painting isn't exactly how my animation will look i've tried to capture the feeling I want it to. Im wouldn't say its worked 100 percent but it was interesting to have a go and i really enjoyed getting back into doing large painting.

animatic work for YYYYN

im working on making an animatic for YesNo project im working on, ive been building it up in storyboard pro, drawing digitally with a graphics tablet.
This is the firsat sequence where our main character is woken up by his phone ringing and is on the search to find it, there is no sound yet but through out this sequence we will hear the ring of a mobile phone as he searches for it.
