Urban Encounters

Next month my short film The Cyclotrope Experiment will featcure in an animation, video and motion graphics exhibit in Denvor, Colorado, Heres the trailer:

Urban Encounters: SightLine is the second curatorial effort led by the Denver Theatre District (DTD) that takes the best in video, animation and motion-based art directly to the public, presented on a massive, state-of-the-art LED screen prominently located in downtown Denver, Colorado. 2011's "Frame of Mind" showcased 39 short-format works exclusively from Colorado artists as one of the focal points of city-sponsored Create Denver's "Local Network," an evening of creative new media, presented to an enthusiastic audience numbering in the thousands. The goal of Urban Encounters is to expand the presentation to become international in scope, with new and existing works by pioneers in motion-based art from around the world, intersecting with recent works by some of the best local contemporary artists.

Urban Encounters - SightLine was curated by Plus Gallery owner Ivar Zeile and Ryan Pattie, with assistance from Phillipe Moore. Colorado artists who will be featuring new works specifically for the event include Milton Croissant III, Joel Swanson, Phillipe Faulkner, Quintin Gonzalez and the duo of Donald Fodness / Alvin Gregorio. National and international artists who will be featuring new or recent works include Alex McLeod, Jonathan Monaghan, Evan Mann, Karolina Sobecka, JK Keller, Eric Dyer, Andreas Nicolas Fischer, Reynold Reynolds, Racecar, Tim Wheatley, Sabrina Ratte, Emilio Gomariz, Kim Pimmel and Jeremy Bailey. A stellar lineup that will set the sky and mind ablaze that night!
